St. Peter tells us “Always be ready to give an explanation to anyone who asks you for a reason for your hope” (1 Pt 3:15). That is our goal for the parish Religious Education program, in a nutshell. First, through the witness of our catechists and small group mentors, we help our young people develop and grow in their relationship with Jesus, our hope. Then, through teaching of the curriculum, our desire is for students to know the Catholic faith, for themselves and to share with others. In short, we want them to be disciples of Jesus Christ. This is not isolated to the classrooms, but first starts at home and extends to the entire parish family.
