UshersList Item 1
Ushers are part of the Hospitality Ministry of our parish and they faithfully perform their duties for our parishioners and guests during the weekend Masses and on Holy Days of Obligation.
In addition to the more familiar tasks of passing out the collection baskets during Mass and distributing church bulletins after Mass, our ushers carry out a number of important tasks to serve the parishioners of our parish. These include greeting the parishioners and visitors as they enter the church for Mass, finding seating for congregants when the church is crowded, helping the disabled and if requested, arranging to have Holy Communion brought to their pews, and answering any questions that our parishioners or guests may have or directing them to the appropriate person if the usher does not know the answer.

Altar ServersList Item 2
Serving at the Altar is a special privilege. Altar Servers are close to the altar as they serve the priest, they carry the cross, they carry the light of Christ as the Gospel is proclaimed. Our young altar servers wear the robe of baptism (the alb), which is a sign of their position in the community as baptized people. They hold the book of the prayers (the Roman Missal), and they help the priest at the altar. Boys and girls in Grade 4 and up are invited to be trained to assist the priest at Mass. Any child from a parish family who has received their First Communion is eligible to be a server.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHC)List Item 3
Extraordinary Ministers of Communion serve the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass and to the sick and homebound. When an EMHC distributes the Eucharist, he/she recognize the Body of Christ in those to whom they give the Eucharist and ultimately you act as the Body of Christ by more fully participating in the life of the parish and the wider community. Your willingness to commit to a schedule, to prepare properly for your service and to arrive on time dressed appropriately for Mass, further reflects that commitment.

LectorsList Item 4
Ministers of the Word are knowledgable and have an appreciation and love for the Sacred Scripture, have the maturity and ability to proclaim the scriptures with poise and confidence, understand the role of scripture in daily life, the liturgy, the sacraments, and the liturgical seasons, have good public speaking skills and the ability to convey warmth, to gain and keep the assembly's attention, and to motivate others through speech as well as a commitment to live the message of the scriptures that is being proclaimed.
